Fighting units and Field Ambulances used this cemetery. After the war, graves of men from the battlefields surrounding Kemmel were concentrated here. The first burials were in March 1915, and the last were in October 1917.
There are 315 burials of which 67 are unidentified. 6 men known or believed to be buried in the cemetery have special memorials.
